Petrino to Kentucky: You're Missing the Point

Late last week there was a rumor floated that had Bobby Petrino becoming the next coach at Kentucky. This wasn’t a rumor so much as Petrino’s dad running his mouth and saying that Bobby was interested in thejob. First, usually these stories are planted anonymously as “sources close to the situation” It’s not a good look to have your dad lobbying on your behalf. Second, of course he’s interested in the job. I bet he’d be interested in running a lemonade stand at this point. 

To this news Bo said “If he wants to be at Kentucky, they have to hire him. Period. End of Discussion.”

This is fine. Whatever. Maybe Petrino’s a good coach but the fact that he’s a selfish dickhead cannot be overlooked.

I guess a lot of people think this, too, because then Bo added this little piece:

Think about surgeons, lawyers, architects, engineers, venture capitalists...because unlike most of the country, apparently [Ed. Bo still upset about the election], I don’t begrudge people for making money and being successful...you don’t get to ask them in job interviews if they’ve cheated on their wife.

Way to miss the point asshole. The problem here is not that he cheated on his wife. As is usually the case, the cover up is worse than the crime. He lied to cover his own ass – something he has a history of doing at the end of his last head coaching jobs.   

When was the last time you think Bo went on a job interview? This asshole thinks a standard interview might include questions about your sexual behavior. Probably not. But even at job interviews for rich white men they will ask you why you're no longer employed at your previous job. Basically, if you're living the Y'all Lifestyle it's okay to cheat on your wife as long as it doesn't effect your earning potential.

Luckily, all of his listeners aren’t mouthbreathing morons. So my man Lee Stapleton let him know on twitter - a six tweet barrage that went unanswered by Bo. Sorry, Lee. Bo doesn't have time for well-reasoned counter arguments. He's got visors to sell.

Also, I wanted to add this little exchange Bo had on twitter over the Robert Nkemdiche to Ole Miss rumor. I don't know why Bo let's himself get dragged into stuff like this. Oh wait, it's because he's the worst.
