• Tim Keown on The Death of the Sports Interview. There was a time when Page 2 was must-read stuff; one of my first stops in the morning. That hasn't been the case in a long time but this worth reading.
  
• The Rise of the NBA Nerd by Wesley Morris. Not really familiar with Morris' work, but this a great take on the intersection between sports, culture/fashion, and race
  
• Clay Travis on the myth of Alabama's 13 national titles. This was something I had never heard before, but it doesn't surprise me that Alabama fans are running around counting titles that never happened.
  
• Chuck Klosterman on the Triangle Offense. I look forward to all of his stuff on Grantland. And if you grew up rooting for the Bulls in the 90s this is a good read
  
• The Quickish 11 for 11. The best sportswriting from around the web this year. Surprisingly, none of Bo's pieces from the YallSports blog made the cut
