I Can Do That Better Than You

Only caught a bit of the show this morning. But I tuned in just in time for the 14th straight daily installment of Bo’s take on Arkansas football. While I was tuned in, he dropped this little classic line about the new hire:
-          I mean me and the guy who delivered breakfast this morning could go out and win 8 games with this Arkansas team
First, fuck off. No you couldn’t. Stand back everyone, the radio host and delivery boy are smarter than lifelong professionals.

Second, now who sounds like Letterman Jacket Larry? Bo, who is on-record as saying that Petrino is the best game-effect (side note: what in the fuck does that even mean?) and the second best coach in the SEC, thinks that the team is so talented that 8+ wins is a given. Meaning that anyone, including a feeble-minded radio host, can step in and just fill in the blanks. Have some perspective.

This is a Thing Now

I know I've been away for awhile. There are probably a dozen or so of you hoping for new updates over the last few weeks. My bad.

But I just can't let this pass by untouched. Above is the latest addition to Y'all Lifestyle product line. Yes, that is a trucker hat. Bo made two posts about their arrival on facebook today.

Just so everyone is on the same page, Bo has introduced trucker hats in the year 2012. And they're only $20. $20 is way cheaper than a time machine to take you back to 2003. On the bright side, we’re probably only a couple more years away from Bo discovering Chuck Norris jokes.

The countdown until we see one of these hats in front of a body of water starts now...

That Didn't Take Long

Did anyone have 6 days in the "Bo posts a picture of the new Y'all products with water in the background" pool? If so, congratulations are in order because you are a winner. After launching new products/logo/slogan on Tuesday, Bo posted these to his facebook on Sunday. Frankly I'm impressed with his self-restraint. I expected to see this picture much earlier. And I'm gonna go ahead and assume he put that unopened beer back in the cooler and got a Dos Equis instead.

Actually, this is just a brilliant sales tactic. Potential customers need to know what these hats are gonna look like next to the water. Of course that is going to look great in the store (I mean look at it). But how's it gonna play when you get back to your private dock? Truly this is one of the most important and fundamental questions of the Y'all Lifestyle.

I hope your bald head burned while you were taking this picture
That essay-slogan isn't nearly as offensive when you can't read the words

New Yall Lifestyle Products

Bo has been a menace today on facebook and twitter. He won’t stop posting pictures and updates of the new “2012 Y'all Lifestyle Gear.” My newsfeed can barely handle all the southern swagger (TM, YallLifestyle LLC).

Have you guys checked out the y’all shop lately? I assume not, so I decided to take a look on everyone’s behalf (Update on the scavenger hunt contest: not a single person emailed me a picture of Y’all Lifestyle product. So the contest is still on, I guess).

A couple of new additions to the Y'all store. More importantly, it looks like several of the shittier items (Styrofoam cups, visors) have been cleared out to make way for the 2012 merch. And the Y'all Lifestyle has a new logo – the Adirondack chair. Which is actually kind of perfect. What better way to symbolize your shitty made-up company than with an uncomfortable, overpriced piece of furniture.

New for 2012: hats ($21.99). This is going to be a game changer for Bo. And that tattered brim gives it  worn-in look. Like you wore it all summer at Turquoise Place.

And new T-Shirts featuring a short essay (reprinted below) on the back ($34.99).
Yall Lifestyle: Defines all things southern and cool. College <picture of a football>. Live Music, Beautiful Weather, Great Food, Friends Family and and Simply Enjoying Life . It’s Who We Are and It’s What We Are It’s How We Live. It’s the Lifestyle

Rather Southern Slightly Sophisticated

Est. 2011
Holy shit, are you sure a person wrote this? It looks like refrigerator poetry.

I can’t believe he added Est. 2011 at the bottom of the shirt. This will actually be helpful two thousand years from now. Anthropologists will dig up this t-shirt be able to give it an accurate date before saying, "Jesus, who would wear this? Let’s just put it back in the ground.”

And of course the sunglasses are still available...

Yeah, now just hold those sunglasses over your shoulder. Perfect. So natural.

Bo's Twitter Meltdown

Holy shit! Did you guys see this pissing match Bo got into with a twitter follower yesterday afternoon? Usually, Bo stays above the fray on this stuff and doesn't respond. But for about an hour and half yesterday he let himself get dragged into it. And it's not a good look for him. I've got screen caps of the whole sad affair below.

First, John Bussey, who is of the same mind as me when it comes to Out of Bounds, got things started for us. Bo's been off the air four days this week (I can only assume he's at the beach) which some people were more happy about than others

Pretty harmless. I made a similar statement myself this week.

Then someone named Jeremy Rushing decided to take up for Bo. I don't know why either. I guess some people just don't understand that it's fun to shit on Bo Bounds.
And here is the ongoing dilemma for the sports fan in the capital-area summed up: Bo's guest list is pretty good. But Bo manages to fuck everything else up in the process making his show almost un-listenable.

Apparently, someone  thought Jeremy had a pretty good response.
And here is where Bo makes the first of three out-of-control wrong assumptions. Here he assumes John is an Ole Miss fan (he may be, it doesn't matter) and thus that's why he doesn't like the show. Classic Bo. He can't see past himself to realize his show sucks and that's the reason why John doesn't like it.
